Antognolla Open: the sixth edition of the Antognolla golf tournament took place, new works announced

After recording a 145% increase in Italian visitors in the last year alone, Antognolla Golf hosted the sixth edition of the Antognolla Open, an exclusive annual tournament, with 200 attendees and 90 golfers, and is already planning next year's event.

First launched in 2017, the Antognolla Open is now a reoccurring event in the Italian golf calendar and this year, took place just few days before the start of the Ryder Cup, the most important international competition in the sector, scheduled to be held in Rome on 29 September. Conceived to enhance the Umbrian territory and created to further secure Antognolla Golf's leadership in the sector, the Antognolla Open is part of a more ambitious project.

"The Antognolla Open is a flagship event for Antognolla Golf," comments Andrey Yakunin, "it is part of an all-round experience, which within a few years will naturally include the Antognolla Resort. Through golf, our goal is to attract high-end tourism to Umbria, which is why it is so important for us to establish the Antognolla Open on a national and international level. We will continue to invest in golf as we have been ceaselessly doing the past few years: after the upgrade of the course, which took place between 2018 and 2020, we are now building the Golf Clubhouse and a new training area, the Golf Social Green'.

In fact, work and investments continue for Antognolla Resort, which also incorporates Antognolla Golf. On the agenda is the construction of the new Golf Clubhouse, a reception area for golfers that is scheduled to open within the next two years and will be built entirely with local materials, as well as the Golf Social Green, a new 3,000-square-metre training area that will offer new spaces for golfers and provide a setting for entertainment events. In addition, among the developments announced is the renovation of the new golf course maintenance building.
